Overview

Maintains the cleanliness of the building and on-course amenities by performing various cleaning duties. Prepares the facility for rental setup, including setting up and taking down tables and chairs, and ensures cleanliness across both indoor and outdoor areas, including on-course facilities.

(Temporary Full Time for Approximately 7 months, weather pending)

Responsibilities

Building and Interior Maintenance

• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, urinals, toilets, walls, showers, and all touch spots.
• Clean and polish stainless steel.
• Clean floors consisting of dry mopping, wet mopping, floor scrubber, vacuuming.
• Dust furniture, shelves, etc.
• Clean entrance doors, windows, and glass.
• Clean and disinfect water fountains.
• Empty garbage, composting, and recycling receptacles.
• Restock paper towels and toilet dispensers.
• Wipe down lockers.
• Respond to calls for cleanup of spills throughout the day.
• Sweep and damp mop stairwells.
• Report damage or vandalism to Supervisor as required.
• Order supplies and restock shelves.
• Rental set-ups and take-downs (tables, chairs, etc.).
• Dry and wet mop floors prior to set-ups.
• Wipe down tables.
• Arrange tables and chairs as requested and return items to storage after use.
• Other duties as assigned.

Outdoor and Golf Course Amenities Maintenance

• On-course restroom maintenance: Regular cleaning and restocking of on-course restrooms and wash stations to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for golfers.
• Cleaning and organizing outdoor seating areas: Ensure that all seating areas, patios, and furniture are cleaned, maintained, and arranged as needed.
• Water stations: Regularly clean water stations on the golf course to ensure accessibility for players.
• Garbage and recycling removal from parking lots, cart paths near clubhouse.
• Patio furniture and outdoor decor: Set up, take down, and maintain patio furniture, including cleaning and ensuring proper storage of outdoor items such as umbrellas and chairs after use.
• Water and maintain outdoor planter boxes at entrances to clubhouse to ensure they remain healthy and visually appealing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Equipment Maintenance

• Operate vacuums, sweepers, floor buffers, and steam cleaners for walls and tiles, and related equipment for both interior and outdoor cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties:

• Perform other related duties as assigned, including assisting with event setups on the golf course or around the clubhouse.

Education

• Minimum equivalent to partial secondary school education

Experience

• Minimum 3 months of experience in a custodial field.
• Experience with indoor/outdoor or clubhouse maintenance is an asset.

Additional Requirements

• Availability to work various shifts to accommodate work schedules, including weekends, or special projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) for the safe use and clean-up of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of proper floor care, cleaning techniques, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of the safe and proper use of custodial equipment and related procedures.
• Well-developed customer service skills, especially in outdoor or public-facing roles.
• Ability to handle and work with cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials in various outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks across indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
